Recollections 2013

The main subject of  "Recollections" project is to investigate the relation between drawings, painting and moving image with sound. It employs drawing and its ability to be transformed/transmitted in different mediums such as video installation and performance art.

"Seesound" was a two hours Collaborative video/sound performance by Strange Attractor (Anthony Kelly, Danny McCarthy, Irene Murphy, Mick O’Shea, David Stalling) and Atoosa Pour Hosseini, as part of Indie Cork Festival at the Cork Film Centre Gallery, Sunday (20th October 2013).

"Latitude" was a 23 minutes audio-video performance by The Guesthouse’s artist in residence (April 2013), Atoosa Pour Hosseini, and sound artist Mick O’Shea. Pour Hosseini works with the notion of drawing and how it can be used in the moving image. She presented a multimedia experience involving multiple, often superimposed projections of her videos and also incorporating hand-made filters and other objects. O’Shea’s sound responded to this and created a dialogue between the two performers based on improvisational impulses.
