Last Phase 2014
Last Phase (2014) - 1:56 Minutes (Loop) - HD - Ireland
Last Phase deals with the possibility of expanding video art into a sculptural form. When engaging with the work, one is immersed in the experience of being submerged and emerging. Revolving around the tension between these two distinct conditions the moving image is at once appearing and disappearing, solidifying and dissolving; the transitions of which ultimately apply a pressure on the space in which it is contained. By extracting sound generated through the physical act of drawing, the merging of two different experiences becomes possible, ultimately generating a third, which is both and neither. A vapour of sound and light caught between two surfaces.
